I bought a second hand one and fitted it on my touring last night, nightmare!
Mine was ever so slightly bent from removal, ended up taping it down in 5 places with 2" masking tape and tapping it on with a small very soft sand filled rubber mallet.

the one i used was small.

As i keep telling the girls i date, the size is not important its the motion winkeye

you need to do glancing blows across the face of the trim, bit difficult when your 1st getting it started and start from one end work across. It wont just pop on you need to work it across and back to the begining, it will gradually go further and further on, as your nearing the end you will need to give it a little tap inward at the bottom.

you have to slide them on from the front, do the roof bit forst with the bit that runs down the screen pointing out sideways, then when it's almost all the way back twist it so the bit that runs down the pillar slots over the lip, i then crimped mine a couple of times with some pliars being carefull not to mark it.
cheers,

harry

due to the shape of the corner of the rain gutter i found that impossible without misshaping the trim, maybe thats why you needed to crimp it after?

it only needed squashing on the bit down the pillar, as that's how the old one came loose and fell off at high speed.

not sure whether theyre clipped or taped from the factory, it took a bit of jiggling, but sits perfectly.
cheers,

harry

They shouldnt need altering to fit aslong as they aren't damaged.

You need slide it on from the front of the car with the section that goes down at a angle pionting out from the car if that makes sense? It then slides back pretty simply, then you just get you finger tips on the section fitted to the car and roll it downwards.

You might find it doesnt sit in exactly the right position, if not, just pull the down section bit off again and slide it into the right position to get the length sitting perfect.

It should have little gripper things on the down section that hold it into place, although mine lost them so I wedges a bit of plastic behind it and it worked a treat!

Also, get some fairy liquid on there or similiar to help it slide into place. Not sure which zoner recommended this to me before so cant give them the credit for that bit!

Never tried to slide them on, I start at the back of the car with the front A pillar section up in the air, push it over the seam working forwards then roll it down to bring the front section onto the A pillar, obviously checking along the length to make sure its going on nicely
