Jake, engines the same deal as your e30 of course.
If you are looking up here then its rust really. back arches, sills behind the bodykit, tailgate, nosecone between the bumper and front wings, behind the m-sport mudguards it's bound to have, bottoms of doors. Check it has all the bungs in each side of the floorpan too, supposedly if they are missing it's a rotfest. Most will be leggy and will be stonechip city on the front end. Seen a few with rotten A-posts because of a stonechip gone bad.
Also I have had three e36's with climate and I think it was probably shite from new, takes forever to do anything hot or cold.
I'm still looking for a 328i touring thats not fecked, will be a long wait I think.

Bit late Nick i have just got back from picking it up
Rust wise it anit to bad (from what i can see anyway).
Few blisters on the bottom of the doors, one one tailgate beside the handle a couple beside the nuberplate lights and a couple of small ones on the rear arches .

Its on 18" mv2's and the front has new coilovers (rears came in the boot still in the box)
The coilovers are wound right up and the ride is harsh to say the least.Hoping i can adjust them to make the ride abit better.
