This is my M3.

I know some people regard the wheels as being councilesque but I like them.

This is my daily driver though.

Recently dropped in an M52 to boost performance a bit. winkeye

I'd always wanted an e21 County Race car so ended up making my own. I use it in sprint events and on track days.

I'm lucky enough to have an Alpina / TWR 323is which was fitted with a tuned M30 engine giving 240 bhp. Hopefully, it'll be on the road again soon.

Thanks for the comments fellas.

I must admit, I do rather like the noise MIB makes. Especially on overrun! I was concerned it might be a bit too loud but people seem to like it! winkeye I'm just waiting for a bit of tunnel action to feel the full effect.

Does anyone know if taking a 5 volt pulse from my rev counter should be enough to fool the M52 ECU into raising the 5000rpm limit? If so, do I need to have any fault codes cleared first?

Yes.

I took a feed to the ECU from the tacho but was told it might not work till the fault codes have been cleared?

Leeparkes - Yeah, I understand that fella, I just need to know if a pulse from the tacho is enough to fool the ECU and do the fault codes need clearing to stop the limp mode?

TWR should be ready in 6 to 8 weeks from now. :)

were you at BMW Classic Brands Hatch earlier this year i think i saw your BMW E21 3 Series there?

Whats it like driving the E21 before the M52 was it a 323i?
What was that like to drive in the wet compared to a E30?

There is a e21 with square headlamps about too.

Yeah, I think I was there in my track car though?

I had an m20/2.7 before and although it went fairly well the M52 is a whole heap better imo. It doesn't leak oil and suffer over fueling either.
It's fine in the wet unless you drive it like a nugget. It's got an LSD and decent tyres though so even when it does break loose it's nice and progressive. It's not as balanced as my e30 M3 but it was never gonna be was it. It's damn good fun though especially for destroying X5's.

Those square headlamp kits look bloody awful if you ask me.

I was invited by BMW Classic at BMW Park Lane. I turned up in my E46 323Ci Coupe. I would have turned up in my E30 325i Sport (Tech1) but it was having some mechanicals renewed.

Highlight for me was seeing the BMW E46 M3 CSL from BMW UK in Bracknell, England (161 BMW) being allowed to start it, sit in it, and one of the BMW Park Lane staff showing me round it and having a proper chat. Felt like it was Christmas :-D. I recorded the conversation and video and tour on my mobile phone but my mobile phone is playing up.

I got to sit in the E21 320i extrmely low mileage fully-restored by BMW Park Lane and owned by them and the E9 3.0CSL from BMW UK in Bracknell as well.

PS the walk round the whole track on the Saturday though part of it was closed off with my friend was great too.

Yes, that was I. I'm quite partial to a bit of Brands although I've got way more enthusiasm than talent. I'm doing a sprint there on the 10th/9 too! The RR evening was great. I liked the mix of cars.
