Can anyone tell me if a light should come on to show you have selected parking and then headlamps? It is a pull switch on the right of the dashboard on my 1988 325i touring (not sure if this is the same in all other E30's?). There seems to be a small 'window' above the pull switch and i thought this may contain a bulb which has blown. I have had a look but i can't work it out. Also, was there no 'lights on' warning buzzer ever fitted? Cheers.

i think the light near the swich is for the fogs mate the only light that comes on with mine is the full beam under the speedo and as far as i know there is no buzzer there is a light that comes on with the handbrake if thats what you mean by parking

When i put the fog lights on (front or rear) i get a light showing this in the main binacle near the speedo and rev counter. I am trying to find out if there is any light to show you that you have your side or headlights on, other than on full-beam. From what you say, it doesn't seem that there is one, or a warning buzzer. Cheers.

The window above the pull switch should illuminate when the lights are on. You can probably access it by reaching up through the under-knee panel.
