Hiya
Looks like the previous owner/dimwit decided to cut the rear springs which explains the crashyness of the car!!!
So - im looking to replace suspension with bilstien b6's hopefully if i can get hold of them but was wondering which springs i should get.
I did have H&R on my last cab which was ok - but didint have the billies so i cant give a true comparison. I have Ebachs on my e36 which are nice - but whats good on the e30?
Im thinking of H&R, Eibach or Apex - which gives a good ride or can you suggest something else - looking not to spend too much though!

Only had cheapo 60mm drop to compare to which was just a nightmare but I've now got Eibach and b4's on mine 35mm it doesn't look too low, have no probs with speed bumps and the ride is lovely - not harsh at all but still handles well round the bends. Highly recomend
The difference between b4 b6 & b8 always confuses me but if you don't go silly low don't you just need the b4's??

got Eibachs on my cab, and no complaints. 30 mm drop, and not too harsh. Got Sport shocks F and R.
Best addition was sparco front strut brace which makes the ride much much better. ON a cab, you'll feel the difference.

got eibachs on mine as well and the ride is great but when you do change renew the "Additional dampers" They will be just like tissues after 20 years and when I replaced mine it transformed the handling

Anyone know how much it is for a set of BMW sport springs with the 15mm drop? If I changed to them then would I need to change anything else? I've got an auto 325 so I would like to preserve the ride primarily.

Daimlerman has bought some, IIRC they are about twice the price of Eibachs
Anyway, I'm sure Cotswold will quote you for some in their forum

With BMW sport springs you wont need shorter shocks. Standard shocks will work perfectly. If your fitting new springs it would be rude not to fit new shocks at the same time though.
While you have it stripped i would advise new bushes all round too. Expensive, more than worth it though.
