can someone confirm plz - cooling sensors m50 conversion

for m50 conversion.....

e30 brown temp oem no 12621710512 single pin.

does this need wiring straight to the 101 (or just 1 of the oem wires at the sensor plug as it earths off the block i take it) as the original plug has 2 pins on the black sensor that sits between the blue sensor and threaded take off pipe?

e36ti rad fan switch oem number 61318361787

2 of the pins are for speed switch 80 and 88 so wire into both to keep the single speed fan going above 80 deg - correct?

i have searched but have come accross different part nos used. want to get it right 1st time!

this is for the brown temp sensor, basically you cut two of the four that go to the front sensor and lenghten them and stick them onto the brown temp one. you'll need a female plug to fit onto the end too if you can scrounge one.

you have the m52 loom though dont ya? ive already read that thread through the search function.

the front sensor on mine (blue) has only 2 wires

ah sorry, yes mine is an m52. i didn't realise they were different. there must be a pickup or something somewhere where the engie picks up a reading for the guage though?

Just unplug the black sensor, remove it and fit the brown, then connect the plug back up

i thought (from looking at the diagrams ive seen) that the pin would be central. i didnt realise theyve used the same connector and done away with the earth pin. every other diagram looks like a 7mm spade job lol. smooth
