hi there

got my eye on these rims not sure which way to turn as both uber sexy and look mint on an e30, so i ask the audience,

my thinking at the mo is rs are really pricey but look amazing and the borbets are pretty much on par but are not as expensive so maybe some insight from you guys might help me decide

thanks

borbet b's will probs be closely priced to some 15 inch rs's mate as they are becoming a pretty rare wheel to find and dont come up very often these days. just my opinion though :)

Personaly i would go with the 16 inch borbet b's over the 15 inch Rs's

but if the balance was not an issue i'd have 16 inch Rs's :D

15" RS's are plentyful, knowing where to look is the Question.
16" RS's in 4x100 do come up for sale, time to time, but money for these reach £2k plus.
Borbet B's if you're on a budget.

Dare to be a little different.

Obviously, genuine BBS RS are a beautiful thing and it's a shame the Borbet Bs aren't splits but they look lovely.

Providing you don't have the black detail on the earlier pic above.

I cannot understand why someone would want a rim with loads of lovely angles for light to shine from and then prefer to have some of those areas covered in black paint.

out of the two i'd go with borbets. 15in RSs look too small on an e30 imho. 16in rs would be perfect if you can justify the cash...
cheers,

Borbets all the way. I would love a set on my cabby, but they go for prices I'm not willing to pay.

Lamin-X discount can be found here - http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 0&start=75

As for size 12x12" is enough to do a full set of lights since i had a 12x24" sheet and only used half.

wow, that really appeals to me - tempted, so tempted to paint mine silver and whack em on the slammed d.schwartz mtec2 non sunroof iS, but then it already looks perfect on the staggered alpinas :?

In honesty, the car above needs bulls-eye lights and no headlight wipers (and a working rhs rog), but bbs ftw, any day

I think it depends on what type of car you have. 15" rs are easily available and in stock form look very oem. I think 16" rs are a proper show wheel due to the rareity and widened is a must.

I've had borbet b and rs' in 17" the only thing i would advise is to consider the time it takes to clean these wheels and keep them clean. I could clean the body of my car quicker then the time i needed on these wheels at the same time if i left them it would mess with my head seeing them in brake dust.
