Wanting to change all my fluids over and top up etc...

Can anyone guide me on what needs doing?

Diff? Auto gearbox? How do I do either of them? Brakes? Do I drain and replace?

Coolant and powersteering is already fresh so no need to do them.

Just want to make sure everything else it spot on.

Any advise will help!

Brakes - I would buy an ezibleed kit, which is a bottle you put the new fluid into, a tube runs to a cap you put on the fluid reservoir and another tube goes from the bottle to a valve you put onto your tyre. Connect the tyre valve and the pressure forces the new fluid into the reservoir and then undo a bleed nipple at a time, keeping an eye on the level of the fliud in the bottle. After you've put a litre or 2 through and done every bleed nipple it will be flushed and fresh.

Diff - 2 plugs on the back. Make sure you can undo the top plug before you undo the bottom plug. To drain the diff, undo the bottom plug on the rear casing. Drain off. Then to replace the fluid, refit the bottom plug and remove the top plug. With the car on level ground, squirt the new oil in until it starts to come out the top plug. Replace the top plug, job done.

Auto box, jack car and remove sump plug and drain off used ATF. Re fit the plug and then add new ATF via the gearbox dipstick tube. Have a look at how much came out the pan, replace with what looks like the right quantity. Replace dipstick tube and then give the car a bit of a drive. Then with it warmed up, check the level with the dipstick (i'm not sure on these boxes if you are supposed to have it running when checking the level or just warmed up) perhaps someone can confirm. Top up any needed fluid.

Doing this with the auto box, won't actually flush out much of the system as you're just draining what's in the pan, the torque converter holds more than the pan. So you'd probably need to do this 3 or 4 times to get anywhere near a complete flush.

Spot on mate! Just the info I needed.

I might tackle thes bits at the weekend. Do the gearboxes need draining or would topping up be fine? Obviously new is always good, but if its not a nessicity (Sp?) then I can just top it up. Want to do it properly though so wont just top up if it needs replacing from time to time.

Auto box oil level is checked with engine running at idle in Park on level ground with hot engine and should be between the two marks on the dipstick, midway is best.

Brake fluid: Use a syringe to remove all the fluid old fluid you can from the reservoir, and refill with new before using the Ezebleed.

Thanks fellas for the help. I check my gearbox level yesterday and it looks empty 8O That could well be the creak noise I hear when pulling off... But, I have some fluid coming for that from Matt (Meatballs82) as he is coming mine tomorrow to play cars, so the chromie wont be moving until it arrives.
