Inspired by a few recent threads of very unusual colours on e30's, thought I'd put this thread up..

Can anyone/people post a full list of colours available on the e30, and ideally an example to go with any efforts..

I'll start with an easy one

Lachs Silver - Lachssilber

Image

Stirling Silver - Sterlingsilber

There's a full list of all the colours available in Andy's restoration bible. Some right weird names in there of ones i've never seen before.

I may be wrong, but I think that Lachssilber is Salmon Silver if you do a direct translation.

Mmmmm, Granite Silver. By far the best silver available 8)

Don't know if it's true but I was told that it was only available on very late sports (or as a special order), as it was actually an E36 colour that became available as the E30 was being phased out.

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Correct. IIRC it was only available as Special Option Only in the last 6mnths of production when BMW had the change over period from E30-36. I've not heard/seen of a non-Sport being ordered in Granitsilber though but I'd guess it was possible if 'normal' E30's were available to order still...?
