Hi there,
On my 325i Touring none of the doors lock via the central locking.
Does anyone know why or any possible reasons or places for me to start look for an answer ?
Cheers Mr R

Just had a look at this link, and it needs amending.
Locking ECUs are reliable, unless they become waterlogged by blocked cill drains, when they become scrap, or overloaded by a stuck/faulty locking motor, when the internal thermal fuse can blow. If this thermal fuse is resoldered, it should only be done using the original solder, or solder of the same melting point.
By far and away the main cause of completely dead central locking is a corroded pin on the red/black supply wire in the drivers door plug.
The cure is simple, permanent, and I've posted it several times.
Remove the right hand loudspeaker and find the two red/black wires that go to two seperate pins of the door socket. Cut them both off and join them together with a soldered joint and heat shrink tubing.

Cheers for the advise and link.
I'll give the red and black soldering solution a try 1st as that sounds like less work to me.
Nice one.

The red/black wire should provide a permanent 12V+ supply to pim 3 of the locking ECU, and is also present on pin 30 of a probably unused 6 pin socket that lives behind the drivers loudspeaker area, or down with the lock ECU.
Check with a 12V lamp (not a meter), that this supply is present or not before you get too involved.
