OIL LEAK!!!

Have alot of oil coming from above the steering rack on my 91 convertible, even leaking alot when parked up over night, cant see where its coming from....any ideas? Thanks.

Oil breather pipe under the inlet manifold/to crankcase?

...indeed, plus:

front of rocker cover gasket,
rocker shaft front seals,
camshaft oil seal,
Headgasket front end,
crank oil seal,

All are possible, another charming characteristic of the M20 :x

mine was once leaking out of the oilpressure switch..

is this the oil drain from the head? if so i think i have the same problem. how do you fix it. the seal is spring loaded.

I have just had a pinhole leak in the power steering pipes that run from the steering box along the rack. They run over the rack and it also leaked whilst engine off overnight. Likewise it fired a fine needle of fluid (it was on the pressure side) across the engine bay forwards onto the oil cooler pipes making it look like an engine oil leak.

Two new pipes £35 quid from the zone and 30 minutes underneath sorted it.

Have you checked the power steering res?
