Panel is twisted around the duct/foglight blanks.
It's still pissing it down here,so too painfull to get the car in the air to check for further damage, there was a big thump from the fuel tank area before the o/s rear flattened Mrs Hare...
I'll let the bodyman take a look(cue pursed lips and teeth whistling)on Monday before deciding, but my gut feeling is that a s/h valance fitted by moi and painted by 'im is cheaper than pulling and painting by 'im!
Only upside is that this panel was stone chipped and was on the 'to do' list for the winter.

on the way up to Culzean a couple of years ago I hit one of the blighters with the 323. Thankfully I hit it with a wheel rather than the tinwork. I too heard thuds under the car as it disappeared out the back.
No damage to speak of but cleaning bunny brains off mudflaps was delightful - they stick like s*** to a blanket.
I hope you can sort it without too much wallet pain.

Bodyman made lots of teeth-sucking noises and quoted £80 to fix and another £80 to paint....I'm off to see Murphy for his front valance one day this week.
If this had been the touring,I'd have settled for pulling the thing roughly into shape, but the cabbie is too nice to bodge where it can be seen...

I think i'd have gone for a replacement as well, I'm sure a few mins with a rubber mallet you'd get a nearly perfect look. At least unlike modern day plastics it didn't explode upon impact.daimlerman wrote: Bodyman made lots of teeth-sucking noises and quoted £80 to fix and another £80 to paint....I'm off to see Murphy for his front valance one day this week.

His bora was on air , took a cats eyes out of the motorway when over taking.
Must of got caught on an exhaust bracket.... anyway it flew off and left a nice sized dent in the jetta we where in

Was that edition 38 last year? There was a dip in the field next to where we camped and it was ripping off bumpers, exhausts and all sorts. This one caddy from cornwall decided as we told him to stop to floor it over, breaking his fuel line... took him 2 hours to get it started againbab-91 wrote:could be worse , We drove over to edition with ones from Fermanagh.
