Front wishbone - rear bushes

As above, for the second time in two years, these have split again, genuine parts as well

The original part number for the set is 31129058931, can anyone confirm that the bushes from the M3 (part number 31129061222) are a direct replacement.

Your Greek roads must be even worse than our UK ones.....

M3 bushes will fit fine,it's a popular upgrade here.

I have never fitted the genuine rubber M3 bushes,I am given to understand that they can be 'playfull' to fit over the wishbone pin.

Myself,I use polybushes on the wishbones on my cars.

Don't bother trying to fit them to the wishbones yourself unless you have access to a hydraulic press - take them to a garage and they will do them in seconds with a press.

Whilst a press is nice, they can be done DIY and are actually pretty easy, just need some gorrilla strength and some lube!!!!

I struggled for about 2 hours on a saturday morning, tried brute force, loads of lube, even made a makeshift puller - nothing worked.

Down to my local garage - they did both on the press for the cost of a couple of pints and I was back in the house 15 minutes later - including driving there and back !

They're a bit funny. I tried hitting them on, pressing them on for hours in my shed, no joy, then I re read a post on here, used some washing up liquid and just twisted them straight on by hand. (Wishbone in a vice), it does seem to be down to technique.

If you hit em with a large socket on to protect them, they just bounce off. strange but a hand can work where a lump hammer doesn't.
