Engine mount holes, in/outside?

Iv been googling this m52 conversion a lot lately as I'm ready to bolt up today. Iv seems a few people say the the engine has to be mOunted in the outer holes on the subframe? I have use the normal ones. What the correct way?

I used the normal holes (unslotted) on mine but i have mounted my engine to the subframe 1st and will be lifting my engine in from underneath rather than lowering
