Canturbury is full of speed bumps, and my lowered e30 really REALLY doesnt like it.

Assuming Im a total idiot and know nothing about the process (the car was already lowered when i bought it), how would I go about unlowering it?

thanks

most people leave the original dampers on and just add lowering springs...if this is the case then its only a new set of springs that need to be cahnged..if not then the springs and dampers need doing, be better than buying a new car though.

probably, have a look to see if there are any part numbers or manufacturers names/logos/stickers on anything or any distinguising feature to try and help them work out what it is....someone will probably know as i don't think there is anything that somone hasn't had some experience of between everyone. give it a go and stay e30

Keep an eye out for someone breaking an is or a sport, and try and bag the standard M-tech set up, not too low but you can still keep the nice sporty ride set up then, and still look good too.

If you've got a 316, and his are M-tech set up then get the front damper housings too as they will be 51mm, and yours will be the smaller 45mm type.

316/316i/318i were fitted with smaller front damper housings as standard (45mm)

Other models were fitted with the larger diameter 51mm front struts.

If you're replacing the dampers too, then yes, but Jhonno said he's only selling the springs..to be honest I'm not sure myself if springs from a 51mm car will fit the smaller 45mm car.

that must be a 60mm kit for it to be that low!

Look like Apex, their shocks are normally red.

If it is, would buying some 40mm springs solve this problem?
