Well there really isn't alot to think discuss about ata is there?

By our own published rules we need three mods to agree a punishment such as long term jail, this is clearly written in the rules section, this is the team and thus team descision part, so kindly explain what is being done wrong here.

And for the record I am not passing any buck, just simply replying to your comment, you seem to have an issue with everything we do so we cannot win, if we dont reply we are called spineless, when we do it's constant criticism.

If you have a problem with Brian then contact him bring it up officially citing evidence of his wrong doing, then as a team we will address it, but you don't, you simply complain on the back of someone else's thread.

Mate, I would steal the pennies off a dead mans eyes, but this isnt about me... If I was in your shoes, then I would have handled it differently, I would have checked the vin plates there and then, I would have had the V5 present so it didnt end up as it did. He may well have said some horrible things but like you said, you wanted to smack him... Why didnt you? All i'm saying is because its Ata, everyone seems to be jumping in and saying he's the '**nt' but if he was selling the car and you had visited, everyone would be saying ithe was in the wrong.

As I said, if he'd have turned up and said no v5? no sale? i'd have refunded his deposit and possibly even given him a bit towards his travel, but he then went on to lie to me and basically commit fraud. He wasnt using facts to lower the price, he was lying, so how am I at fault? What does the v5 prove that a hpi check or i.d cant?

I think the fact he was selling a car with two goons trying to haggle and threaten him into selling the car cheap is wrong no matter who the buyer is

If ata was selling this sport id still do the same checks as anyone else selling the car , Hpi and check vins , Both are fine as well , Logbook wouldnt bother me , Its a sport under a grand , As someone else mentioned , Id look for rust holes being a tech 1

i just read all of this, my head hurts, all i would say , is get another v5 then advertise again, (unless you find your one) as for deposit , keep it as your compensation from his threats and time wasted.

if he thought it was such a sh1tter he wouldn't of tried to still buy it off you, and if you get threats again get the police involved

Ata isnt thick, why would he turn up and start to intimidate someone he is buying a car from? Yes, he might use a few things he finds to knock the price down... The bloke didnt budge, Ata asked for a refund, the bloke said no, Ata threatens... I reall dont see it as Ata got there, picked fault and then threatened...

I havent ever met Ata, so I dont know what he is like in person, but from reading his replies and speaking to him on the phone in the past, it wouldnt be viable for him to turn up and do that as he would end up leaving without the car he set out for.

Am I missing something here? I would not refund him a penny. It is a £800 car ffs. A tech 1 sport for £800 is cheap enough be it ringer, a write off or a totally rotten turd it is still worth £800.

Jim, he didnt turn up being a d!ck, he was nice as pie up to the point I wouldnt reduce the price enough. I'd already told him I wouldnt accept offers. He had obviously set out that day with a plan in mind of paying less than I wanted for my own car.

A deposit isnt refundable, if he didnt want the car, he shouldnt have left a deposit. The loss of the v5 is genuine, not a scam or to hide anything, when I receive it, i'll happily post up pics of that also. What would I gain from hiding it? Nothing at all so it cant be dodgy that it's gone.

Claiming my car is a 316 and not a tech 1 sport is not ''knocking the price down'' it's a lie and he knew it.

Also, i'm well known in the car scenes in birmingham and have no dodgy history or stupid, childish remarks like atta on here. He has a history on here, I don't, so why are you defending him?

Because he has paid a deposit, There fore agreeing to a price already. Yes I will always try to get a few quid off a car regardless of price, But imo as soon as a deposit is paid the price is set.

I took the car off sale and got it mot'd for him, all believing the car would be sold for £800. I advertised the car correctly. The only thing I didnt do was have the v5, which is not illegal and doesnt mean anything with or without it. It's noce to have but thats it. Why didnt he do a hpi check on the car? I offered to do a text check while he was next to me, which he refused. He has tried to rip me off, wasted my time, caused so much hassle and pissed me off. He doesnt deserve his deposit back. At no point did I say, yes i'll take your £100 and take the car off sale but if you dont like the price when you get here, i'll give you the money back. Why should I lose out?

you dont put a deposit down on a car then throw the dummy out of the pram cos the guy wont lower the asking price.... the vin number and v5 were all excuses to request a lower price. He then had the option to pay the asking price, or walk away and forgo his deposit.

This thread is the perfect way to illustrate the irratic moderating. I'm not here to read the rules, this is just more long winded crap that sees nothing done. Thing is the mods can win by binning off the deadwood. No one cares you need 3 mods to bin ata off.
