M3 throttle bodies over m50 manifold
Moderator: martauto
I've put an m52b28 in my e30 and have yet got round to fitting the m50 manifold but was wondering whether it would be better with m3 TBs I know they cost a bit more but the big question is will they help produce more power over all compared to an m50 manifold? Has any one tried this yet or no?
apparently from what i've read its a very difficult thing to do for not a great gain compared to the m50 mani which is cheap and easy and unlocks a not unsubsantial amount of power.
the itb's are quite dificult to align requiring spacers etc and have the wrong angle for the injectors

Nothing simple about fitting them! But they do sound AWESOME!Dan_556 wrote:So their not quiet so simple to fit as m50 mani then?

M50B25NonVanos & M52B28Vanos Heads for sale. Pm Me.
Does anyone know what sort of work is requiered to fit these just so I can get I bit of an idea of what's involved before I go making any rash decisions. The thought of the sound of 6 TBs sucking away does sound appealing

if youre going to fit S50 throttle bodies then leave them attatched to the S50. Trying to get them to fit then get the thing running properly will be very costly.
No longer self employed but still available for welding duties.
