I had some copies of those MiMs, by a company called Intra, and they fouled the tie rod in exactly the same way. They were ET25 offset. I used a 10mm spacer to solve it, but I was never happy with that solution and didn't keep them very long.

Can a zoner help me by checking old tie rods or even new? I want to know if the Q-drive ones are at fault. Something ain't right, these MiM's are genuine.

Worst case I will by some Lucas GSF but would prefer not to. I have some E36 Lemforder ones tucked away somewhere but I just don't get it?

I'm doing this in prep of having another little look at the weekend (weather permitting)
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Do they look right or could they benefit from winding in? They are tightened up (not finger tight).

Pic of the tie rods I took the other day. still not had chance to do anything yet though :o:
When you say finger tight: did you mean tie rod end? If so, it may not have been pulled all the way up

Schnaarf, they are tightened up mate, just not torque'd to the BMW spec, I just gave them a tighten up.

ed325i, what size spacers? Did you use hubcentrics? did they rub afterwards?

Thanks guys

I've had et13 Mims on a 325i auto, 318i touring, 325i touring,316 and currently on a 325i and have never had this issue.
et25 Mims do not fit the front as per Robors comment but they do clear the back calipers.

Coops90 had the same problem with 14" bottletops. Could this be down to certain aftermarket ones?

I had the same problem when I went to put my bottle tops on. E36 rack with (I think) e36 tierod ends. I put it down to a buckle in the wheel or the area around the ball joint being biefier. The bottle tops fitted with the old e30 rack.

Could you get the file to the tierod or fit spacers like ed325?
