Hi mate,
I know of two places: BMW Chandlers (stealers) in Hailsham, just off Diplocks roundabout;
and BM Auto Sport (Parts and Accesories and Alloy Wheel specialist). I have a card with his number: 07909900222

hope this helps
Jose

Never to the stealers... A friend of mine (mechanic) does the tricky bits for me when I can't.
about BM Auto sport, I haven't, but heard good things about them around here in Eastbourne. They have a website www.bmautosport.co.uk

I am not too keen in taking my car to the a branch and rather do it myself with my mate, it sounds silly but I want to know what is going on around under the bonnet of my car and had experiences in the past of dodgy jobs in the mechanics so...

I dont wanna sell it yet, it's only got 56000 on it, i'm just thinking to the future, resale and all that. Next is a 325i or 318iS or..... build a 325 turbo to throw in this one. Getting married in dec 8O , so only next year.

Koos,

There is a good independant place in Monksgate (half way between Horsham and Cowfold), called GCS Engineering.

They specialise in all German cars, and regularly have Porsche, BMW and Audi's in their workshop.

GCS Engineering
Unit A, Monks Gate Garage, Brighton Rd, Monks Gate, Horsham, West Sussex RH13 6JD
Tel: 01403 891060

Cheers,

Ian.

I use a guy called Mark, MJF Engineering, 01306-713232
He is excellent and based not too far from you by Capel/Beare green below Dorking. I'm in Horley and it only takes me about 15 mins to get to him cross coutry.
He was one of the first mechanics that Munich Legends employed and has a long history of BMW's. He knows his stuff and also races a 325.

Munich Legends are in Sussex just south of East Grinstead.

Don't know what their rates are but I would expect them to be cheaper than a main dealer (but not by much).

They know their stuff with older tackle - got my 635 there.

Don't get tempted by the CSL's, 635's, Alpina etc.

I could recommend that you *dont* go to Munich Legends in my personal experience.

Hi Julz, Not yet, haven't had a free weekend, I was also trying to get hold of a guy on the BMWCC forum who said he could lend me the tools to de-pin the fusebox.

Munich legends are excellent but expensive. TCS automotive in High Wycombe are good and reasonably priced.

Lol..last time I looked, though, High Wycombe wasn't in Sussex!

If you are gonna drive and can't get MJF to do what you need, try Munich Motors in Wokingham...not used them myself, but they get very good feedback from everyone who uses them...
