Hi chaps im thinking of doing this conversion, are there any build threads on here(ive tried the search button but no luck)
What parts do i need to use apart from the obvious?
can i buy the engine mounts off the shelf?
Do i use the cossy box but a BMW diff?

cossie box and bmw diff is the easiest option, but you will need a the larger case diff from the 325i's and M3's. what diff ratio depends on the cossie box ratios but from memory a 3.64 to 3.91 will be about right
there was a member on here called spadge who was into his YB's and he had plans of building one, he may even have some parts like a sump and mounts
the other member who had this conversion was Fuzzy. he still floats about on here so he is worth a shout.
there are other YB powered e30's but i do not recall the user names

I've got the conversion bits from Fuzzy's Touring, custom mounts, prop, sump pickup pipe & wiring loom.
From what i've read there is a few ways of doing this conversion some don't use the modded sump as they mount the engine quite far back.
I've had these bits for a while now, cossy engines are selling for mega bucks these days thats the only reason i've not been able to drop one of these in my car.

There is a few Cossied E30s about mate
I would use the cossie box as the bimmer box wont take the power or torque.
