Shall I bite his hand off? Only thing I have to do is take the engine out of the E36 he is breaking. Is there anything else I should nab from it?
The engine itself is miss firing (coil I hope) but before I take it out I'm gonna check this with another coil which I know is fine. It has 160,000 miles on it more than my M20B25 but I plan to strip it bare and see what's going on inside. And at least change the piston rings and gaskets. And looking at port polishing it any other suggestions for more power? I'm taking my car off the road in September (I've just only got it on the road after 7 months lol)
This would be my 2nd engine conversion this year in my car I haven't even had it a year lol.
I am being offered a M52 2.8 engine for £100

I'd take his arm off mate. I'm just in the middle of my own m20/m52 conversion I wouldn't class it as hard especially with all the previously done swaps on here and on the net.
I just try to focus on 1 objective at a time and finish it rather than trying to do bits of everything all at once
Good luck

£100 is a bargain, grab the engine and the loom.. depending if you're going to use the box or not might need that

This is a good topic to read through and give you a rough idea of what you need, there's 3 choices of box usually which is either the e36 box, m20 and m42/m40.. from what I gather fitting the m20 is the most effort and the e36 you need a low diff off a z3/z4/m3 or something but don't quote me on that !
