A repeat question I'm sure, but a search hasn't furnished me with an answer...

Why would my mpg swingometer, rev counter and temp gauge all stop working suddenly? Everything else is working fine.

Can it be SI batteries dead?

The brass nuts are tight, I did that not long ago as my temp gauge was playing up.

The sevice computer behind the dials can pack up causing these gauges to stop working. Try another service computer, preferably second hand so your not wasting your money if this is not the problem,

Take the cluster out of the car: take the SI board out of the cluster, and measure the voltage across each battery.
