Si, do the 'ring on the way back
Oh, if you get a chance, you need to drive the Susten Pass, Grimsel Pass and Furka Pass in switzerland. The very wiggly road on here are from my recent trip round these roads, simply awesome!
Oh and if you want to be scared, put the SS300 into your tomtom...!
Enjoy

Touring looks really nice with the new stance, it really has a compleat look about it too. Think the black on black works well with the touring shape.

Well theres a list of jobs for this, all of them sh!t or expensive.
As i was on one of my travels shopping in the scrapyard i found this in a black 88 325i touring

£10 was a bit of a job driving home with it in the E36 but it was okish! Its not factory and its a retrim with a sort of vinyl like an E30 door grab. The sunroof bit was missing but maybe just paint dye my beige one and be done with it? certainly will look 100% better than the saggy one in there at the moment.
I also just one these on the bay

I'm also watching the touring tech 2 tailgate spoiler to really finish the wagon off. Then hopefully a repaint down both sides. Then the stripes
Just waiting for Dips to repair my pina snowplough so it doesn't look silly for santa pod!

Bargain headlining as well! Nice find! I'd grab a bit of vinyl for the sunroof section or I could send you some leather, but think matching vinyl would look best.
Are you going to just cut round the old headlining where it tucks under those trim pieces at the sunroof hole?

Good luck with the headlining. I'd rather eat my head in an omelette than do that again.

Did you get that tailgate spoiler then Simon?
If it's the one I was looking at, it went for £225...

Shame. But it's a lot of money for a small bit of plastic. You can almost get a whole Tech 2 kit for that sort of money...
Would love one on my car though...

No, I did wonder about amassing all the parts for a rebuild, if ever I wanted to carry one out. But at that price they are a 'need to buy' only item! lol

Been lazy as of late but i did this before santa pod but didn't post any pictures, anyhow about the last place on the car i haven't touched removed or f**ked has now been tinkered.
So i picked this up in the scrappy for a tenner a while ago

Heres what was there

What a bloody state, ripples in the wind when driving with the windows down!

Sunroof and trim bits out, you need to remove pretty much all of it to get the old one out as its glued and screwed down all around the sunroof opening.

The old one out, see that metal strip in the top picture? this has come unstuck and used to rattle everytime you shut a door, highly annyoing. Thing was you couldn't see what it was with the sunroof in, used to drive me up the wall! Onto the money shots

No grot
So pleased there the last place to be inspected so a huge relief i secretly thought hoped it was good up there which bodes very well for long term ownership prospects! i did squirt some clear 3M cavity wax about up there to keep it noice

All back up wasn't anywhere near as sad as people have made out imo. took me a couple oof hours at a sedate pace. I had black sunvisors in stock but i need to get some black D pillar trims and maybe black trims for the tailgate to make it look more factory as its all grey. I've had all this in the past but threw it all away!

Tried to re grease all the worm drive help it all along, but i think i need a newer better motor and i of all people don't have a spare!! It just no man enough to tilt it up these days, needs a helping hand. Goes back and forth speedy now though
Just need to sort a sunroof bit out now, OR do i get the old stuff sorted out and trimmed in something nice?

I also won these skirts on the bay a while back for £25 but i had to collect from doncater which was 450 mile round trip. After seeing that red Alpina touring forsale not long ago with the skirts and spoiler i thought that looked mustard. Hopeing to have them painted and on for gaydon.
I was thinking of maybe getting both sides painted as its fairy tidy but it needs to be really nice if i put the alpina deco kit/war paint on it. So just a tech 2 tailgate to finish her off i think.
Air con? no leave it be!
I am seriously considering buying a set of B4 dampers as i'm sick of the hard ride from the B8 dampers. As we all know the roads are toilet and i really don't think the handling on the road would suffer, in fact i think it would improve as its a bit skitty/skippy on the back end when laying all the power down even in the dry. Some softer dampers would allow more grip i think. Plus it has all the other morsel trinkets fitted. But overall shes tramping on well and has covered 23,000 since the rebuild on the donk
due a cambelt very soon!
MOT also coming up it never ends!

I'm also seriously considering getting the original alpina springs re powder coated and back on to go back to its normal ride height, but i'm not 100% give it that proper nose down alpina stance again. These are the only pics i have of it on stock height which was the day we bought it!

With Gaydon looming we have to look better than last year! Got the pina skirts painted in time.

Being black you barely bloody notice them, shame but a bit different from the Touring skirts, matches the 2dr now too.
I'll get some better pics with the snow plough on 2moro at gaydon, as i was pushed for time today.

well heres a few shots from Gaydon today. I never take a camera so i thought i would this year. The battery went flat after 5 shots. So this is all i got must of been 6 C2's today including another touring
his paintwork was much better than mine!

The paint match on the skirts is pretty dam good. No one said holy moly who painted the skirts! I think they look good with the cow catcher just like the 2door now
