If you had spent more time maintaining your daily smoke (318 touring) and less time nailing tat to the golf you might have made the Ace last night !

Ha how rude!
The golf's off the road at the mo, the touring's the daily. I'd have made Ace if I hadn't gone to Hatfield to pick a mate up - making it back would have been a different story maybe
I've only had the thing a week and a half so I don't think you can hold its service history against me ;)

On a positive note, at least it wasn't the cam belt that snapped, yet

Cambelt was done anbout 4,000 miles ago so hopefully I'll be ok for now. I've had a few curious peeks into the transplant forums too, so if it does go it'll be a blessing in disguise once something tastier goes in

I'd be a bit worried that the person who allegedly fitted a cam belt thought it was ok to refit a completely w4nked fanbelt

It was a garage fit, but I'll have a peek under the cover for safety's sake anyway.

These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....

Sorry to disappoint
I'm looking for an RSV mille in a year or so's time - the kawasaki was bought A) because it was £275, and B) to get used to filtering and general riding again after a brief spell away, and to rack up the all-important no claims.
