will 260 getrag fit 318is

my gearbox seems to be shot on my 318is its starting to crunch and sometimes is a bit hard to get in gear ive changed slave cylinder and bled clutch but its no better i have a 260 getrag with flywheel and clutch out of a 325i would this bolt straight on and is it worth doing or is it better to just source a 240 box?

any 318i box will fit, but you will need the front prop section from a 318i as its a little longer. I use a 318i box on my touring and it's absouloutely bomb proof!

Plus it's a good excuse to use the 318i m40 flywheel and ditch the dual mass one.
