crappy idoling

my chrome bumper 318i has a problem, its iratic at tick over or if i keep it at a steady rpm. Ive changed the fuel lines and the pump whitch is external but theres no difference. can anybody help please.

it sounds like you got a air leak check the hose in from the airflow meter thats usally the cause.

Yep, poor idle is normally caused by an air leak, get some carb cleaner and spray around the intake system, listen for a change in the revs, if it does then you've found your air leak as it takes the carb cleaner into the system.

thanx for the advice guys, i cheacked all the pipes and lines today and they ar all fine, but i did notice a loudish buzzin coming from around near the fuel pump.
