Was taking a few more things off this evening so I can get the gearbox out this week but I couldnt get to the top bolt of the 3 that hold the prop shaft onto the box. Can turn the shaft to make it easier to reach as that will move the car forward or back and off the stands!
Am I going to have to take the shaft off at the back where it joins the diff and then that will mean I can rotate it at the front to let me get at the bolt?
Another thing - when Ive got the shaft off the front, will there be enough room to take the gearbox out or will I have to completely remove the shaft from front to back to give enough room for the box to move?

You need to get one rear wheel off the ground and turn it a bit to rotate the propshaft.
Undo the prop centre mount and pull it straight down, that will effectively shorten the prop and pull the front off the locating spigot. Once it's off the gearbox you should have enough room to work by pushing it to one side.
You could slide the prop apart in the middle to give more room, bur make sure you mark it so that you can reassemble it with the same splines engaged with each other, since it is balanced as a whole.

Cool, not looking forward to jacking up the back of the car when its on stands at the front.
Will the LSD not prevent the wheel from spinning though if the other one is still on the ground as well?
