amareo - I don't think you realise how upsetting what you've done to that vehicle is.
I know you said it's your brothers car but it's still your fault.

I do like the colour combo. That silver with the silver leather is pure win. On my old cab I had , it was on a 40mm drop and I found my BK's would catch the arch easily. How are you finding the ride with that suspention setup?

Am with d6dph on this one
Even if his car looks like it does, just drop it to him in a friendly manner
I like OEM but each to their own.
These cars look cool from factory but with any extra factory option or upgraded factory option it can look cooler, but not every man likes it looking factory

Sort the suspension, wheels, headlights, spoiler and you could be halfway there but until then comments will be fierce.

Or he could just post on any other E30 forum there is and not receive a single 'fierce' comment.
I do hope this thread gets more views so that a few of the 'traders' in this thread lose more than just my own potential custom.

I disagree - I'm not the one getting my knickers in a twist because someone modified their own car in a way that I wouldn't. It's not even as if he's ruined a genuine mint tech 1 or a rare car in any way.Jhonno wrote:Really? Over an opinion? Think you need to lighten up

Amareo, Nice colour on the car, but as your brother to loose the rear spoiler, it causes too much turbulence when the top is down driving at speed.
BTW, do you know "Stevie"??

Someone named Stevie rings a bell?
Loose the spoiler then take it off. (2 in a row
)
Sort the suspension, get normal wheels, orange indicators and sort out the whole front grille area.
Then sell it so you never get tempted to pull that shit again.

I think you actually are the only one getting your knickers in a twist.. Saying you'd no longer buy from a trader as they have an opinion.

Opinions are like arseholes, every one's got one.
It's constructive criticism, take it or leave it in my eyes I'm afraid.

Dude -credit to you for weathering the warm zone welcome!
Though in the interests of safety (tyres not popping, suspension geometry that will work/not munch a set of shocks in short order) I would agree with the tyre/suspension height comments.
If you want low - coilovers are an option that does not involve rolling on your bump-stops!

What exhaust manifold you using ?amareo wrote:e36 m3 engine
have you considered what brakes you will need?
brake servo and inlet "issues"
diff ratio of between 3.25 and 2.97 will be needed if using a 5sp box
this is never an easy swop, i've seen more fucked up attempts than well well sorted installations
