I have herd first hand from someone who has tried LUK and it slipped, then fitted sachs and it be fine. That was M20 fly and clutch on a 3.0lt 24v lump

like what? my one in the alpina well its had a horrid life still doesn't slip. must of done 100 odd runs up santa pod and about 45 laps round the ring plus 30k on the road. I prefer sachs, but have had cars with LUK fitted and not had probs.. apart from a 525i that split the LUK pressure plate in half !!

Well its on the road i have been using it for the last week or so off and on for work,the engine seems to be extremely smooth with a really smooth torque curve ive been taking it steady and not reving it past 3500 rpm just to make sure everything is settling in ok,im going to put it on the ramp in the next few days and re-check everything,just quick picture of it yesterday at the unit.
