Just curiosity - How many members have sold their cars through the zones sales section to other members?

You see loads of cars for sales, but do they actually sell on here or are we all still looking on piston heads and ebay for them ?

Off the top of my head I've bought 7 cars from other zoners.

Never attempted to sell one, that may be about to change though.

Most were just cheap turds, one was my M3 which I bought after a zoner responded to my advert stating I wanted a white 1989 M3 - he had exactly that and we struck a deal.

So people are clearly buying off here. Must be a very hard sell though to a zoner?
I mean they know everything !! so no Arthur Daly style selling tactics are going to work.

i remember when i was looking around for my 1st e30 on here, someone saying the only things that tend to sell on here are turds/cheap e30s of course the odd exemption but folowing cars for sale on here in the last 18 months suggests thats still the case with most2k+ cars hanging around and having a lot of bumps ?

I understand what your asking here.

I dont think a 'zoner' has to necessarily have to have a load of posts.

I could probably get 1000 posts added by close of play today by just sticking a smiley face or a thumbs up in everyones thread.

A zoner to me, is someone who firstly Has an e30 or has a history of e30 ownership.

Visits the site regularly, and enjoys its content.
(Doesnt mean they have to contribute and post on every single thread)

Believes that an e30 is the best looking bm ever made ( and that includes the M1 and the silly batmobile looking one and all others) and that the e36 is the worst!

And one day, all 'true' zoners should want to own an e30 m3 at some point in their lives.

That is for me what a zoner is

I'm not a "true zoner" as I have no desire to ever buy an M3.

I'd love one! Sadly, I failed to buy one before they dissapeared out of my realistic price range.

Depends on what pops up at the time your looking for the right price. First iS I bought there were only sheds on here so went to pistonheads and found a low milage one with no rust for a good price, second iS was off here.

I can say there is a few cars sold by me to people that have either been on the zone for a while ar have become zoners scince buying there motors.

I too like Dave ↑ am not a true zoner as my main intrest in cars lies not with the e30. But hey ho.

I bought a wrongdoor rolling shell from a Zoner. I made a few good friend that day, north of the border. The same friends who have helped me out more times than i can remember since.

I also bought the chromie from a clueless zoner. Cut springs, tramp driftt stickers, cherry bomb exhaust, nasty wheels and loads more. I saw through that though.

£600 for a rust free chromie ftw
