I am in the process of having a BMW 635 CSi restored, car is at bodyshop at present having front and rear end resprayed and other small cosmetic jobs attended to.
It currently is sitting on BBS 16" wheels with 55 section tyres . I have a set of BBS RC 090 17" split rim wheels which I am having the rims polished and the centres repainted in Nogaro silver. The rims are 7.5J front and back.
What tyres can I fit to them ? I am going for 235 wide but not sure of profile 40 or 45. Aim is to fill the wheel arch a bit more than present fitment wheel, so 45 might work, but also to give the car a more sporty stance which I feel might be better acheived with the 40 profile.
Anyone any experience or possibly pictures ?

i have a info to share......The initial five-door and three-door 1-series hatchback models ride on rear-wheel drive (and optional four-wheel drive) underpinnings shared with the next-generation 3-series. The five-door model will launch in the UK in September and will be followed into showrooms by a three-door in spring 2012........
i have new bmw!

if you want staggered 235 45 & 255 40 17's
16's should be 205 55 & 225 50's or 225 50 & 245 45's
