...do you fit the replacement throttle cable with the M52 donk in place? I have just spent the last hour trying & have now given up for the night - zero progress on the project this week!
I can see in hindsight that I should have put it in before I dropped the new engine in as I would have had better access, but I really don't want to take it out or drop it down for something seemingly so small.
I can get it lined up and get the top tab through the square hole, but cannot get any purchase on it from the sides or below to drive it home into the hole.
HELP! Any tips please?
Throttle cable fitting...how...

rotate it 90 degrees as I had this chew on with mine, pushing like mad and the grommet not clicking into place, rotated it 90 degrees and it clipped right into place, it can't be properly square I reckon.

Thanks. So just to be clear, I need to leave the metal elbow sleeve in the same position as it comes out of the bulkhead (little clearance near the engine), but rotate the plastic grommet through 90deg?
Will give it a try & report back. Let's hope I don't waste another hour tonight!

UPDATE -
So, I rotated it 90 degrees and it went in the hole. Connected it up to the pedal, then as I started connecting the other end it felt loose - checked at the bulkhead and it had come out. It goes into the square hole, but is loose in the hole, enough to come out under the slightest pressure. I reckon it's fubarred so now need another. Can anyone tell me which cable I need and where to get one from please. This is really p!ssing me off now!
