Nice spot Rav, shows there's more than 1 misguided person when it comes to these wheels.

THERE NOT! please call ronal, google it! http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/alpina ... wheel.html
ebay ronal alpina
RONAL MAKE ALPINAS...DONT COME MUCH SIMPLER! THANKS FOR ADVICE BUT PLEASE DONT BOTHER UNTILL YOU BRING HARD EVIDENCE!
how many 16" 20 spoke alpina reps have you ever seen? all reps have 19 spokes OR 21.
im not trying to fob any one of, infact ild sooner keep them!
they dont have alpina stamped in which is why there £300 cheeper than the same wheels with and locking caps

I did tell him that I was qualified to comment as I own both genuine Alpina wheels and a set of RG reps but that fact clearly hasn't carried any weight with him.
The objective of the thread was to avoid any zoners getting ripped off so hopefully that's been achieved.
I'll wait and see what ebay say as I've reported the item as being incorrectly represented.

It seems like the tone of the responses has changed. I like to think I've been fair thus far. Which isn't like me to be honest, mainly due to the fact that I'm a coont.

Slightly off topic, but i think thats a cracking featureAlpina Softlines had one hollow spoke, allowing the valve to be under the lockable cover thus not spoiling the rim edge:

im no expert, but i think a few of you are slightly out of order to report the guy with out solid proof that infact these wheels are not of the same production line!
a friend had this with a set on his 535, side by side they were identical to a set badged alpina!
whos got proof the guy isnt right?
he hasnt once said they are stamped alpina either....
i look at it like tools...
i have a snap on set of ratchet spannes identical to halfords own.... but on the reverse they state the same part number lmfao!
and were all e30 nuts....these are 5 series wheels?

just looking into this as they seem to be an extremly rare set of wheels if they realy are rep's?
only ever seen a few like this, there was a company seling replacment center caps years back...to the same spec as that guy has! the way to tell ive been told by the old boy is the center cap is made of stainless or similer, the paint never matched the wheels as the metal was a diffrent temp!
tbh....other than u guys....no one else on the net claims what your claiming?

Those wheels are made by "RG wheels", and were one of the better copies of the Alpina wheel.
Magpie has a set, and a few others on here.
They are "Sparce" but the guy clearly thinks he's selling origionals.
Colin had sent him a messgae earlier to which you can see the replies.
It has been posted on here many times before, only Alpina wheels that have "Alpina" stamped on them are origional.

I've just had a look at my ebay inbox and found 3 messages containing all the seller's 'proof'.
Proof my arse. None of it is convincing to me.
I'm still laughing at the "RG" stamp on the wheels being "Ronal GMBH"

I'd save your money, and buy a set of 5 stud origional Alpinas for about the same price.
If you're looking for 5 stud, you'll find then on here.
For £300!!

These were made for E28 fit, ive seen a few with them. I had the 4 stud 7j same as magpie has on his chariot, they are a good copy but they are also different, not identical at all.
As has been said if they were Alpina wheels they would have 'Alpina' stamped into them
The 4 stud RG's are actually lighter than the genuine Alpinas, for all you stats lovers

i've been looking for e36 m3 evo sunflower alloys recently and only seen one or two sets of replicas vs a handfull of genuine sets, yet the opposite is true of the 5 spoke e36s wheels.
i have seen plenty of sets of ronal wheels, and they have all had 'ronal' cast on them somewhere, never RG, even wheels made by ronal for other companies.
RG reps are probably rare because they were more expensive than the bruv spec 17in reps, why chav up your e30 with fake 16s when you can buy fake 17s for less
but, a replica, even if lighter and very nearly as good looking, will never be the real thing
cheers,
