Posted on behalf of someone else.

Car: Z3, Year:1998, Engine: m43 or m44

The guy set the alarm off and the battery went flat - it was almost had it anyway.
I believe he has now disarmed this alarm - he says a '3gmark2' and presume got his alarm fobs working again.

It wont turn over so I hear but don't know what key he's using. Don't know about other noises or lights on the dash but fairly sure he'd be on a good battery.

What has to happen here, assuming hes got a good battery, the right keys and a disarmed alarm?

Advice would be great but we'll probably take a proper look at the weekend anyway.

Not quite enough info there, but a low battery will cause all sorts of unusual faults, especially the alarm..

on my car, if there is an EWS issue it just seems to prevent fuel pump running and possibly spark too, but the car still turns over.
