GEARBOX JAMMED IN GEAR

I have a 89 320 that i just purchased as a spare car.the car has been stood for several months but starts first time,the other day i reversed the car of my driveto find the clutch pedal going to the floor.after pumping the pedal i could get gears as i moved the car i tried to get the car outof gear only to find i couldnt move the stick.even with the engine off the stick wont budge forward or back but will go side to side as if in neutral. any ideas.replaced clutch master cyclinder (which was leaking and causedthe original problem).many thanks.
