cant find lamda plugs on loom

started cleaning back loom ready to fit,most plugs etc are simple and clear but cant find any plugs to plug lamda into,where abouts on the loom should they be?any pictures as i cant find any

what engine?

On M52 there are 2 lambda plugs which are located on the top of the engine fuel rail. On the M50 I recall the lambda socket originally sits somewhere down near the back of the alternator. The plug on it is similar to the style of the air meter plug

Lambda plug on m50 is in location lee said, the plug is round and I believe 4 pin

are right,m50 e36.got the engine complete minus manifolds,got a pair of manifolds with twin lamda so only need 1.will look tonight cheers

1 should be fine, I'm sure the plugs are specific (ie only lambda will fit?)

Have you modded your own loom? Hope you didn't cut it off pruning out the gear box ECU, it's easily done (I got a heads up off gudgeon)

On my m50 I blocked the lambda ports in the m52 manifolds and when I had my custom exhaust made I had the guy cut a port in the 2.5' single so it could read the full flow as the m50 only runs 1 sensor.

With my m52 I had the single port capped and 2 new ports cut in (1 in each downpipe) as the m52 uses 2 lambdas

didnt cut anthing until tonight,but have removed gearbox ecu plug,big round plug it goes to and small gearbox conector only.pluged loom back into engine and still cant find any lamda plug.i do have 1 spare square 2 wire plug though? but my lamdas are 4 wire round plug?? help anyone. i think the engine+loom are from e36 325i auto.

just to add,the engine came with cast manifolds with no lamdas on them,i assume they where on the down pipe?help any one please
