just a quick queriy to see if someone can confirm this would be the right radiator for my conversion
i know it has to be from an aircon model and at a glance the standard one is square where as the aircon model has a shorter filler bottle on the side making iot look like it has a corner missing
is this the right rad?

It doesn't look to me as though the one in the pic has a thermo switch port unless I'm mistaken.
You need an e36 328 aircon rad, I would have thought the ad title would say that if it was one mate 8)

Just ask the guy selling the rad, the dimensions are correct though, I notice there is no brand on the rad which says to me its probably a recon, a Nissens is about £100 from ECP

Just a quick bump, think i've managed to find a rad just want to double check

Is this the right rad? Its from a 98 328i it has the shorter expansion bottle and a temp switch on the opposite side

If it helps, on the left is an E36 328i aircon rad. (click on the pics to make them bigger)

For what its worth the rad on the right is from an E36 318ti with aircon, the only difference between the two is the channels are slightly thinner.

The capacity difference is this. (about 200ml)

Ive been running this rad with an M52 for well over a year now with no drama's at all, the car has aircon too.

So maybe worth a thought if your having trouble finding a 328i rad.

Thats an ebay universal fan, fastpartz or something is the sellers name, ive fitted a few and they are ok, not particularly fast but if you get the biggest fan you can fit to the rad you should be ok

do all of the bmw aircon fans fit the e30? i have somehow managed to destroy my kenlowe fan today and also lose all power to the fuses :-x

options are small as my scrappy has sod all bmw's in it apart from a low spec e34 and another e34 still on the ramps but possibly with an aircon fan as it's a 530i.
