On a positive note it is a shooting break and it isn't a 'classic' (sic) mini !

Don't think E34s ever had double.robbo86 wrote:Put up a picture and I'll tell you if it's vanos, single or double
I think single VANOS was introduced in '92ish on the M50.
M52s also had single VANOS, but the TU had double. By that point in time the E39 was well into production.

No double Vanos on these. They went from non vanos to single in late 1992 on the K plate. If it's 'L' reg or newer it'll be a single vanos M50TU engine.

Yep there's one I see coming through the village sometimes - what a sorry sight it is! It looks like someone stuffed an airline up a normal mini.Felix79 wrote:Tell you what , you'd be pressed to see any BMW logo's anywhere at the Mini factory!

Pass , but for what its worth, it was a collection of pics showing a sad old 520 touring as it descended from useful turd to councilled up landfill that had been 'carefully' lowered, so much , that the front anti roll bar links were
hitting the deck !
The owner , now realising that it was now about as much use as a 'clasSIC' mini, decided to weigh it and is now spending the £200 proceeds on P40 and chicken wire as he continues his mini resto.
I believe it can now be seen in the toaster section of a Tesco Extra near you
