The alarm on my E46 keeps going off.

It used to happen last year lol at work in the work car park and i keep getting told off about it when one of the neighbours who lives in some little cottage where my car was parked in the car park keeps complaining about it. Everytime i checked it stops. Lol.

Anyway the alarm DEFINETELY keeps going off now and then. Is this a common E46 problem?

The only other specific problems are:

central locking on the drivers door does not always work so to unlock the car sometimes i need to use the key in driver's door
driver's window regulator works intermittedly which lowers drivers window

I usually have to close the passenger door just to make sure the alarm is set as if i close the drivers door the alarm does not always set.

You need to have the DWA (alarm module) fault memory read as i will log what has triggered the alarm and how many times. You then work from this.

The door switch and boot switch are part of the catch and locking motor so if they are playing up then that is the most likely thing.

Cheers. The hazard lights button and central locking button dont work either i think it is just a spring as it worked not along ago.
