throttle/bowden cable

im slowly putting together the parts i need for my conversion while im cleaning and repainting things
i was unsure as to which e34 cable was required so i did some digging and discovered the throttle cable needed for the swap (i think) is from an 525, namely the E34 m20b25 cable is this right?
if so then is the m20b25 cable ive just removed from my e30 the same cable?
