Hello

I am just starting on my decent into madness.

Hers is my 325 K-reg Cab

Must do things

:(

1) Head gasket/Cylinder hear gasket replacements...I am pessimistic so I am sure it will be a new head.

2) Belt replacement.

3) Cooling system replacement. Thermostat, pump, rad, hoses etc I don't wont any of these to cause the new head/gasket to go

These 3 will be humongous jobs for me as I have no experience what so ever. Jacked the car up for the first time the other day...and I still did that wrong. I swear the picture was pointing to the diff

:o:

4) Replace exhaust

5) Seats need to be replaced/repaired

6) Carpet needs to be replaced..

Will do

7) Get the car resprayed(2-3K budget)

8) Seats reupholstered (£800-1500 budget)

9) nice ICE install. Not for show just trying to get as good as quality as possible..Yes, I know it's a cab and it has very shallow and small speaker holes. Oh! and no roof :)

10) Fit OBC Kit ( owned for 5 years :) )
11) Fit cruise control Kit ( owned for 5 years :) but it's from the US which I believe means it needs to be modded which I don't like. )
12) Fit air con kit...still to buy. I know this will mean some of the cooling systems bits will be diff..but the madness will continue
13) 16 BBS RC...I don't wont to but I would change the running gear just to get these on the car without spacers.
14) lowered to MS cab, MS cab springs, eibach blisted 4 I guess
15) fit red rear cluster ( owned for 5 years :) )

Like to do
16) replace suspension parts most likely OEM
17) Black diamond disc...Just a road car so it will be overkill but anything you do to these cars can be considered overkill.
18 ) Larger brakes..large black callipers....I think both 17 & 18 may be sorted when I try to have 13 sorted.....I have to get those BBS RCs they are GORGEOUS(little britain voice)

The golf seems to have a lot of these RC wheel but I don't want 18" 17 is the max.

19) Replace parts before they go..fuel pump, brake & fuel lines...anything else ????..suggestion appreciated.

20) Msports lsd...I really just want a black msports but I did't want to commit the sin of respraying a motorsports.

21)smoked side indicator(I have clears but I dont like them now)
22) smoked fog lights..not sure about the black headlights just yet.

That's all I can think of now..

oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remembered 2 more

1a) heater valve/matrix

oh I wont be fitting the black grill or the eyebrow that I brought 5
years ago...trying to walk the fine line between OEM+ and modified.

I will be keeping an eye on the budget but I am sure it will be £10-£15k
by the time I am finished (if ever). I am not putting a time scale on
this and expect it to take at least 5-10 years for completions(but road worthy
over the next 12-18 months). I have loved these cars since I was a teen
so it's not like that love is going to fade any time soon..plus I need to get
my skills up in readiness for a e24  or e30 m3

Anyway into the darkness I run :)
