miles and miles of tailbacks, M4, M1, M5, M42, M40, M3, M25, the main routes used to access just about the entire coutry. how far would the tailbacks go? (exluding the M25 as thats just a giant car park anyway.
5th gear 50mph, all E30's would get good fuel economy like that, we could go for ages. start at 7am, for morning rush hour and just keep pulling over en-mass for a fuel fill up and keep going.
New EU directive on "Modified Cars"???

Damn right we the people should be worried!! And it will get worse. If people do not stand up and fight back (or do as Ghandi and silent protest!) then the Police State will become far more powerful and we will then all be f*cked. In the meantime the laws will become more Draconian and inhibitive to our Civil Rights in which case we might as well all be f*cked!!bigmace2004 wrote:check this out, your not scared are you

if your paying attention you should be, forget that bullsh*t you learnt in school
I don't see a Civil War happening soon in which case we will all be f*cked as it will be too late....
On a brighter note...

Youth is wasted on the young.
i was thinking more L96 (what was used in my time, not the new replacement) but an M21 custom would be nice
If this does go ahead and start to get stupid, an en-mass car crawl would be a good idea, zoners from different areas take a different motorway and slow it down, 50mph is legal on the motorway, peacefull demonstration and 15-20+ cars across all 3 lanes all going at 50mph should be enough to make a difference and should be noticed. I would gladly take a day off work (monday) to make rush hour a bit slower, and the rest of the day for that matter.

It'd take a bit more than that mate!! Anyway, the politicians just work for the banks and corporations these days...daimlerman wrote:I have an old air rifle I can sell you...snakebrain wrote:It amounts to the same thing mate! I read this in a car magazine about a week ago and was going to post it up !
Can you imagine how many companies would go out of business and how many jobs would be lost !
I can't see it happening tbh, I think will be more to do with petrol, tax and insurance prices taking us off the road

Unfortunately,if Brussels says 'Jump!',Westminster reply;'Yes sir,how high?'Steve wrote:I read this in a car magazine about a week ago and was going to post it up !

Jobs lost, who cares,Brussels certainly do not.....
I was going to suggest that we follow the French,ie,just ignore the parts fron Brussels that we do not agree with, then I read this week in a car magazine an article by an ex-pat living in France....
He came home to buy a pair of tyres because,
a.Cheaper in UK
b,Needed to touch base with family
Car goes in for it's Froggie MoT,fail because the new tyres are not the size specified on the car's build sheet....195 section instead of 205.....
Just wish that this country had followed De Gaulles advice back in the '60's,and kept the Commonwealth running properly.
Youth is wasted on the young.
we should never have joined the EU, but the government don't have the balls to take us out of it. We would be much better off, exchange rates go up, laws back in our own hands, save us a fortune is money paid to brussells for pretty much sod all.

there might not be an eu in six months the way things are going..
Yep, I get a bit fed up with reading about "rip off Britain" when in actual fact the prices of many things are lower than in continental Europe.daimlerman wrote:then I read this week in a car magazine an article by an ex-pat living in France....

I bought 4 new tyres for my E39 last year, delivered from Camskill they worked out at 30% cheaper than the cheapest I could find in Spain, in fact I bought 4 for the price that the Spanish high street retailers were quoting me for 2......
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
They just fekin signed us up to everything and didnt listen to anyone.....as per usual. Mr Brown signed the Lisbon Treaty and Alistair Darling stitched us up good and proper with these bailouts when we haven't even adopted the Euro. Grrrrrrr.DanThe wrote:Well at least labour gave us the choice of joining euro legislation with the democratic voting system![]()
Oh shiiit,, hang on,,, DID THEY FCCCKK!!![]()
I was hoping we would never adopt the Euro, but if Bannoch chops Salmond gets his wicked way with independance then we will have the Euro up here faster than you can say the dam word.

It goes against everything the Tory government is about.....free enterprise. So I really cant see it. Well i hope not. The financial implications are massive.Steve wrote:I read this in a car magazine about a week ago and was going to post it up !
