316 carb water pump

changed thermo and pump works fine when standing still although the new pump is leaking water do u need to use some sealant when replacing pump and also the thermo is red hot but the rad is cold please help

the thermostat is prob broke take it out if the rad gets hot buy a new thermostat if you still have no luck take the radiator out and flush it thought if it has a good folw check the pipes. put a hose in the pipes and see if it comes out. or it could just need bleedin good luck any way

Pump should have a gasket with it, no sealant reaquired, just make sure the surface is clean.

Sounds like you have a blockage or/and a dud thermostate
