There are sooooo few good E30's left! If you spent the same money on a good E30, or a great E39, I know which will be worth more in 5 years....gazm3 wrote:Your right mate, I find it an interesting experiance looking at the zone forsale section.
Some zoners have a worped sence of value for their old beemer.

A facelift e39 (particularly in m5 le mans blue) in my opinion looks far neater and better than a facelift e46 saloon. only the e46 m3 facelift gives it a run for its money.Morat wrote:E39s are lovely cars, but I think they have two drawbacks. The sport forsale on here for 6k with the recaro's has no OBC and that cheap nasty handbrake surround. no leather. I was making a comparison on spec to other sports. The spec on my e39 is immense. Pay 6k then start retro fitting extras was my point.pony wrote:A facelift e39 (particularly in m5 le mans blue) in my opinion looks far neater and better than a facelift e46 saloon. only the e46 m3 facelift gives it a run for its money.Morat wrote:E39s are lovely cars, but I think they have two drawbacks. e46s looks too common esp pre-facelift salons dont really look that nice except coupe if it is original and sharp.
Re:
analogue clock in a 6k sport?
E30s only if that prices if there really are in excellent condition mechanically/chassis/bodywork/with zero rust. That is the hard bit getting a e30 spot on some of the options do not really matter too much as worst case scenario you can always get it retrofitted.
come on, if you really want a digital clock that badly either get a digital watch or retrofit a OBC/digital clock.

Well looks are subjective, so there's not much point in arguing over this but I prefer the looks of the E46 over the E39 because they look tauter and a bit less curvy. There are definitely more E46 around, but that doesn't bother me.pony wrote:A facelift e39 (particularly in m5 le mans blue) in my opinion looks far neater and better than a facelift e46 saloon. only the e46 m3 facelift gives it a run for its money.Morat wrote:E39s are lovely cars, but I think they have two drawbacks. You can pick up a perfectly usable taxed and tested E39 for £500.
