Give any BMW dealer the VIN number.

They're not the easiest cars to copy! Lhd is always a good give away, 5 stud and the s14 engine! Can't see many people going to the extent to copy one.

Do you mean E36 by any chance? VIN is the best way to go..

Factory fitted strengthening plates on the rear floor where the subframe meets would be easy to overlook if someone was doing a snide reshell. Coolant bottle mounting bracket besside the fuse box is m3 specific too so if you have doubts see if that looks factory installed.

Other than that, the wheels, brakes and 280+ bhp should be handy hints :wink:

Put the last 7 digits of the VIN into an online VIN decoder.
