Hi all,
Not really a technical issue but i cannot seem to get my armrest down on my rear bench. Its mtech leather sports interior and it seems that it wont lower down. I am doing something wrong or is there a kind of locking mechanism...after all surley it aint rocket science. I know you are probably chuckling away to yourselves but I gotta ask. :o:
Cheers

It's probably just stiff with lack of use, once you get it open, try to get some light oil onto the hinge joints.

I will give it a go but when I try to give it some elbow grease the actual armrest seems to begin to fold at the base and I am worried that I may damage the foam, do i need to lift it or something as I open it?

Unlikely to damage the foam, but lifting at the bottom as you pull the strap should help.

you have to sort of lift the bottom up as you pull the top towards you if you see what i mean.

its a little bit like the mechanism on a double glazing window
