yes but the paperwork is a a bit shifty no mention of it being not standard on the paperwork and the insurance will be through the roof.

Insurance really wont be a problem, seen this car myself, its good, works well.
Although the clutch doesnt slip a little, it slips alot

yes but insurers are likely to increse the premiums especially as the car is modified and not been declared on the log book

Get the log book changed to reflect the mods and get insurance with mods declared. It's hardly rocket science, just playing by the rules :-)

that would be fine should the worse happen.

however, naturally insurance will be expensive on this car than say a regular BMW E30 325i or BMW E39 540i?

Depends on who you insure it with. If you go for a classic policy or Adrian Flux who specialise in modified cars, it's not that bad.

I was pleasantly surprised on my Morris Minor with 2-litre Fiat twin cam engine - Adrian Flux did it for a very reasonable £100.40 for a year's fully comp!
