I locked my flywheel by bending a valve half way and have the head of it slotting into the teeth of the flywheel and the rounded end poking into an orifice somewhere in the block and it secured it perfectly, this was to undo/do-up my crank bolt, not sure if that's what intended here tho!

need to undo the flywheel bolts so if that did the job for a crank bolt it will do the job for flywheel bolts!!

they arent reverse threads or anything daft i hope..

My flywheel bolts were half-rounded off (previous owner must've had someone fit a clutch, who couldn't careless about the bolts..) had to use mole grips in the end, only took a few mins.

I used an air powered impact gun when I changed the flywheels over on the 2.7 I didn'thave to worry about locking the engine etc, they just came undone. They are normal thread. not left handed

there should Be a hole in the block, below the starter mounting point, hiding in the webbing section of the casting.

theres a corresponding hole in the fly, use a drill or something hard in there and you should be able to crack the bolts undone

The best way to undo bolts like these is to pull across the centre of your flywheel,
ie, undo the bolt furthest away from your hand,
this gives you more leverage against turning the flywheel

Should be a blue plastic plug in it.
