Good quality coilovers will be cheaper, ride better , improve your handling and be easier to sell.

But if you must have bags .........

A lot of the airbag kits now are bolt on kits and so i would keep my standard set up and bosh back on if ever i sold it... also if i can get hold of the parts, you can build the set up for about £1k... which is around about the same price as a decent quality set of coilovers... Also a lot of people are filled with a big misconception of airbag suspension... When airbags first started coming into the modifying circle... yes the ride was terrible... but there's been a lot of advances even to the extent that it's hard to tell the difference... quite a few of my friends run bags in their golfs, a3s, passat etc etc and i've been in them and the rides really good.

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Cheers duke :)

Quickly chucked my front bumper on just to see what it'll look like complete... The bumper is nowhere near finished yet...

Image

And in the excitement of looking at it on i forgot that the tow hook hole sticks out on the ram and i haven't trimmed it yet so it went straight through :(

Image

I love it though i'm sure purists will hate :p

i've put the "big white blob" look down to the lighting in the pic... took this pic today of it in the car port and think it looks a lot better.... i've just got to make the number plate holder that will sit inbetween the bumper and the breyton valance

Image

Now all the doors are wrapped in green and also fitted my breyton skirts...

Image

And another shot from the rear... still have to paint bottom of tailgate prior to refitting boot plynth

Image

Also thought mirrors were looking tatty and as all my trim and door strips are matte black... i decided to matte black the mirrors too....

old and corroded
Image

mirrors refreshed

Aha. :D It made a very cool pattern. If I was keeping my Touring, i'd probably go and do something like that to it and offend all the oem homo's. :D Facelifts are for ruining in my opinion. Chromies stay standard.

the green on it atm is a bit of a piss take tbh as the car's having a colour change over winter... i'm just in the early stages of learning to paint :P so thought i'd a few panels for the time being to make it stand out a bit :) and i love offending the OEM homos.

After much umming and aaahing over whether or not to go balls out on the beemer or just cut ties with it and buy a different car... I chose a new car so picked up a 2001 Passat Estate 1.8turbo... Insurance is LESS than the e30... But i was left with a car in primer and needing painting (the e30) so would NEVER sell in that state, so i have brought it into work and yesterday morning it looked like this....

Should look good when it's all back together.

Are those G60 rims with or without spacers?

What happened to the mouse brown renault shade?

They're without spacers dude.

I just quickly sprayed it white as its going now... I'm getting quoted around £1800 fully comp for a 21 year old 1.8 8v and around half as much for a 1.8turbo passat estate 11 years its juniour... And i been offered £1k for the e30 upon completion so i'd be a fool to turn that offer down

right here's the pics..... I fully accept it's on stilts and springs are coming.... i am also ditching the coloured kidneys.... just wanted to see what they look like... and i'm expecting sheer hatred on the wheels but i like them :)

And finally a pic of probably my favourite part of the car... My headlining...

Image

Still not 100% complete... need to heat up my spoiler for a bit of flexibility to fit it and it desperately needs lowering.... also in the pics there is a bit of trim missing.... i have now found this and refitted it (left it at the unit the car was sprayed at)

opinions welcome :D

Still not a fan of the white blob look..

Nowt wrong with the wheel colour imo. They aren't even massively offensive in style.

Will look loads better dropped.
