'ROCKY' IS THE SAME PERSON WHO SOLD ME A VERY DODGY ICE FROM THIS SITE- FOR ALL THE GENUINE FORUM MEMBERS, PLEASE AVOID LIKE THE BUBONIC THING THAT WAS GOING AROUND EARLY PART OF SOME CENTURY!!!

HE PUT A PIC THAT WAS TOTALLY MISLEADING AND WASN'T WHAT HE SENT. HE SAID IT PLAYED DVD's. IT DOESN'T! FURTHER, ON INSTALLATION THE HEADUNIT DIDN'T WORK. I PAID £300 FOR 'CRAP' THAT WAS TOTALLY MISDESCRIBED ON HERE BY THIS VERY SELLER. HE SHOULD BE STRUCK OFF THIS SITE AD INFINITUM. WHEN I CALLED HIM HE DROPPED MY CALLS AND DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO CONCEDE HIS FRAUD. WHAT A JOKER!!!

FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT HONEST DEALS, TRUTH AND DECENCY, PLEASE DO NOT TRADE WITH 'ROCKY'. HE'S A FRAUDSTER.

I sold the above ”aV70rs”a a genuine Pioneer headunit in full working order. It was tried and tested before sending it . Before that I had the headunit installed in my car for a bit of time and it was in full working order. It played DVD’S, so i dont understand why the OP is saying it does not. I tried to be as helpful as I could, I spoke to the guy on the phone a few times and tried to help. I also gave the guy info and links of the item to help him as best as possible with his querys.
He told me he got it installed by someone and that it did not work. I told him that I thought that the person who installed it may not of installed it right and could of messed it up. I was told by him that I was going to get the mobile number of the person who installed it, so I could speak to him and see how he installed it. I did not get the number?... I dont no why? (possibly because he had something to hide)
Then the final straw for me was when he started telling me that it cost him £500 to get the headunit installed in his car... WTF!!!
After that I questioned the integrity and the honesty of the man.

I have purchased and sold things on here a number of times and I have never had a problem with anyone on the zone before. I always describe everything I sell very clearly and honestly. I have been on here for a few years now and no one has had a problem with an item they have purchased of me. This guy has not been on here that long and is just trying to give me a bad name.

Sometimes we all fall out of favour with someone for whatever reason. I'm not sure if it's important any more but 'regions' (changeable in settings) were once important and perhaps still are. If it's the wrong region it may not play anything at all.

Back to the feedback, I'll leave things alone now and you guys sort it out without any of this full caps, cursing, accusations nonsense.

It's the mendacity and sheer deceit of the seller that staggers me! He posted a link and sent me something different. By its very nature- deception. He said it played DVDs: it doesn't. It's a DVD based satnav system. There's always a first time to 'pull a fast one' which he did here. Past performance is no indication of present evil.

Anyone who stoops to abbreviated vitriol to me always masks his deceit by doing so.

To the genuine zoners, PLEASE AVOID, for reasons of sanity and commercial prudence. The guy remains a crook. I'm a lawyer, and if he feels I've slandered him in any way, I defy him to instigate proceedings.

£300 wasted!!!

Im not going to repeat what I have already, I wont use fancy words to get my point across, so I will just be straight to the point. I sold a pioneer headunit through the for sale ICE section, this is the link to the item I sold the above "v70rs" -

I sold the headunit in good faith, I went out of my way and got the headunit personally delivered to him ( had a friend going up near his area, 200 miles away!) so he did not have to pay for postage.
Because he sounded genuine at first, I gave him a good deal. Even though he haggled on the price quite abit, which is fair enough I dont mind. I kept him informed when he would receive the item and what time my friend would drop the headunit of to him.

When I rang him after he received the headunit to check he 'd received it, he started telling me, "Oh, my son saw a cheaper headunit on ebay, I wish I never purchased your one now. I clipped my son around the ear and told him you should of told me before".
He was regretting buying the headunit in the first place, If he does not like it and wishes he never spent that £300 then he should re sell it back here or on Ebay and get his money back, because that headunit is worth that all day long. But theres no need to give me a bad name

I dont want to enter into a mud slinging match and talk sh1t and lie because I dont need to. My feedback and post rating shows who I am.Have brought and sold on here numerous times and have never had a problem with anyone. I dont care if hes a lawyer, people in all sorts of high powered jobs and high status from time to time feel the need to lie and slander people for their own good. it happens all the time and thats what the above is doing to me.

I've said my piece and I dont think there is anything more for me to say on this matter, So I will leave it at that. I will suggest that the mods do what they can to resolve this once and for all. So we can move on.

The headunit was the AVH-p6400 (damaged).
The DVD unit was the AVIC 800 dvd
Neither the advertised remotes were present.

Any independent adjudicator is welcome to do their own research. The link he relied on was completely misleading. The system does not play DVDs, which he assured me it did. I was relying like all buyers on the good faith of the seller, which was totally absent as he sent me SOMETHING DIFFERENT- ERHHH!!! He could never have played DVDs through it unless he was hallucinating?! I am happy to put anyone in touch with the professional installers to verify everything I'm saying. I had to buy a further headunit to get the system working.

The rest of what he writes is subterfuge and further deceit to mask his dishonesty. The only aspect I agree with is this- enough of this now!!!

The feedback is there to warn furture sellers and as I looked at my mail this morning, I have received no writs for slander which remains his right of action if he feels he's been wronged.

PS My son's a karate black belt 3rd dan: outside of my general pacifistic nature, I wouldn't contemplate any kind of 'clip'. LOL. Cheap trick Mudassar!

Thats a damn LIE. I sent you the AVH-P6400 with the LEGACY LDVD35, WHICH IS HOW I GOT THE HEADUNIT!!
It was not damaged because it was hand delivered to you and in our chats after you received it, never once did you say that. It was in my car and was in full working order and it did play DVD'S. the only person hallucinating is him, saying it was something else. Absolute lies!!!

I dont need to lie and play cheap tricks, why would I say the above, how did I even know he had a son?. Everything I have said upto now is the truth, He is just saying complete lies.

ANYWAY, I have said everything I need to say and I acted in good faith, I still dont understand why he said all these lies. But I suppose not much you can do when someone lies.
Anyway Im glad hes agreed with what I said and come to his senses, which was - "The only aspect I agree with is this- enough of this now!!!"

First up, do not take attempt to take this to the point of threats as this or we'll be looking at jailtime or more. Be civil and anything can be sorted.

That said...So the quick and easy way to start to provide closure is for:

Rocky - a photo of what you sold - you have to include photos in For Sale adverts so please post this up.

V70rs - a photo of what you received in the post, whether it is no longer in the car or not, paying particular attention to model numbers. It would be wise to add a bit of paper saying 'zone' in the shot.

V70rs, I honestly thought you wouldn't continue in the same manner you started. If you can't be civil, despite your obvious annoyance with the matter then you forfeit your right to post on this forum. Change your tune and have a formal warning citing rules 1, 5 & 8.


Ok, so here's a photo of the item received and installed. Pioneer AVH-P6400CD, which for the sake of argument is the same model in the link Rocky put up.



You also claim that this item was received by courier (friend) and not a 'Legacy LDVD35', the item paid for.



Rocky, if you would please be so kind as to submit a photo of what you sold that would help but obviously it's not going to offer the best conclusion.

Starting with the headunit, v70rs says it didn't work after fitting, which is a very fair statement and you've both had a chat about it. If there was a problem with the item then both buyer and seller should have made it clear what they wanted to do at the time, with the emphasis on the buyer to disclose in full the problems with the complete package.

With the second unit, it is a completely different unit to the one advertised and again this should have been brought up at the beginning. It is surely not a case of the item not working as advertised but a different unit entirely. The buyer waits a full seven days to disclose here that it is a different unit, only saying that whatever it was didn't do the job as described.


We are still waiting on a photo from the seller, which might as well be of anything to be fair to the buyer. If you do come to an agreement then by all means post up on here.

It is now up to the both of you through Private Messaging to work out if anything should happen next. It has been at least 60 days since the item was sold through (and not by, see our terms) the E30Zone web forum and as such we have no record.

I just want to say I have bought off Rocky before - a set of leather sport seats - I found him helpful - honest - and decribed Item pretty much excatly how it was.

Personally I dont like the 'zones' feedback section. It should be more like ebay's where you get a small place to write a few words and then rate the seller with the 5 star rating system.

It would get rid of all the bitching/slander/ and general nastiness that we find on here ( luckily not very often as the majority are genuine trustworthy sellers).

Hope you guys manage to sort this out but I for one would still buy from Rocky going off my own personal experience.

Fair point mate.

I have been done on Ebay in past and do appreciate the absolute anger and disappointment that you must be feeling.

I mainly have an issue with the feedback system on here. I think we as buyers should have a system similar to Ebay.

Issues like this should be resolved through private messages between buyer and seller with the help of zone moderators and keeping others who are not involved in the transaction ( like me) out and unable to post in the feedback section.
